I’ve been a student of leadership since my childhood. My early observations were of my dad who served as pastor and brought positive changes to a number of smaller congregations. Later, I had the privilege of shadowing exceptional leaders, both in the marketplace and in the nonprofit arena. My undergraduate studies in psychology (Southern Wesleyan University) and my graduate degree in Public Administration (University of Alabama at Birmingham) both afforded opportunities to read and research the behavioral components of leadership.
For more than 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of learning leadership and leading amazing teams in Azerbaijan, Canada and the USA. After 5 years (2010-2015) serving as president of Kingswood University in Canada, I’ve moved to Indianapolis to serve as executive director for a growing network of leaders serving 60+ communities in central Indiana as they strive to accomplish the most compelling mission in the world. I welcome your feedback and dialogue as I share reflections from my leadership journey.
I’m so glad I found your blog!
